The UN SDG Action Awards are open for applications. The UN SDG Action Award is looking for individuals, civil society organizations, subnational governments, foundations, networks, or private sector leaders from across the globe for the most innovative, impactful, and transformative initiatives for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. The deadline for this opportunity is 7 May 2023. The winners will be announced in a special ceremony at the Global Festival of Action for Sustainable Development on 24 July in Rome, Italy.
All applicants will get representation on the homepage of the UN SDG Action Awards and the winners will be supported and featured throughout the entire year.
The UN SDG Action Awards are open to individuals, civil society organizations, subnational governments, foundations, networks, the private sector, and others. The award will be given in different categories:

The UN SDG Action Award wants to support projects and initiatives that support the implementation and promotion of Sustainable Development Goals in different ways. The focus will be on projects that are innovative, impactful, and transformative.
To apply for the UN SDG Action Awards you have to fill out the application forms online. You can check the SDG Action Awards guideline to take a look at the questions that you will need to answer here.
The most important part is the description of your project. You should answer the following questions in your description.
Furthermore, you have to give some background information about your organization and explain why you think you deserve the Award and how it would further your cause.
To be amongst the chosen ones for the UN SDG Action Awards you need to be creative. The Award will be given to creative and innovative approaches, and you can already show in your application that you understand this. The best entries will offer supporting evidence such as photos and videos and endorsements from participants in your project.
You can apply in any language but should keep in mind that evaluators might use google translate if they are unclear. To make sure that there are no misunderstandings and that your application showcases exactly what you want it to, you should consider submitting in a majority language.
The UN SDG Action Award aims to strengthen the SDGs. Make sure that it is clear which SDG you want to work for and how your project fits into the overall strategy.
