Redwood Research Grants 2023
Redwood Research Grants 2023 funds research that deepens Save the Redwood’s understanding of how to protect redwood forests in a changing environment. This year Save the Redwoods is providing a theme “Redwoods and Water” and will give priority to projects that fall under this theme.
Eligibility
- Proposals on all topics that advance conservation or restoration science for either coast redwood or giant sequoia forests are welcome,
- Save the Redwoods strongly encourages submissions for Indigenous-led projects.
- Redwood Research Grants 2023 only accepts applications from nonprofit 501(c) organizations* that focus on research and education.
- The League will only fund reimbursement costs that are listed in the Grant Agreement Form.
- Reimbursement costs include allowable costs and non-cancelable obligations incurred as a result of proposal performance.
Benefits
- Funding requests should be for $30,000 to $50,000 and matching funds are encouraged.
Note: The League does not fund indirect costs (these costs include but are not limited to administration fees, rent, insurance, etc.).

Note: Edits to the League Grant Agreement Form are not allowed.
