Biomedical HIV Prevention for Women Grants
Biomedical HIV Prevention for Women Grants encourage and support women’s choice of an HIV prevention product and improve uptake, adherence, and persistence of the chosen product. The women’s grant also aims to optimize implementation and improve equitable access to biomedical HIV prevention for cisgender and transgender women. This grant targets gaps in knowledge about barriers and facilitators to ring use, interventions to improve uptake, adherence, and persistence on the vaginal ring, and implementation science studies to improve access to and distribution of the ring.
Eligibility
The Grants are open for
- Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments)
- Public and state-controlled institutions of higher education
- Nonprofits having 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- City or township governments
- Small businesses
- Independent school districts
- County governments
- Nonprofits that do not have 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Private institutions of higher education
- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
- State governments
- For-profit organizations other than small businesses
- Special district governments
- Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities
Benefits
- The Biomedical Grants intend to commit a total of $2,000,000 in FY 2024 to fund 3-5 awards in response to this NOFO.
