Tips to Apply to the WWF Professional Development Grants Program

The WWF Professional Development Grant Program gives support to mid-career conservationists to attend non-degree training, courses, and conferences. The maximum amount one person can apply for is 6,500 US$ and the next deadline for the application is 1st of May 2019.

Who can apply for the WWF Professional Development Grants Program?

People from the following countries can apply for the WWF Professional Development Grants Program: Belize, Bhutan, Bolivia, Cambodia, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Colombia, Dem. Republic of Congo, Ecuador, Fiji, French Guiana, Gabon, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Indonesia, Kenya, Laos, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Peru, Republic of Congo, Solomon Islands, Suriname, Uganda, Vietnam, and Zambia.

Furthermore, people must be working and living in their home countries and work in the field of conservation. Applicants need at least three years of paid work experience and should not be enrolled in an academic program currently. The training has to be at least 90 days from the day of application.

What can be funded with the WWF Professional Development Grants Program?

The WWF Professional Development Grants Program gives support to mid-career environmentalists to receive additional training. These training opportunities can include short courses, certificate training, or conferences among others. With the grant, you can pay for costs like travel expenses, visa cost, registration cost, and lodging.

To apply for the WWF Professional Development Grants Program, applicants have to fill out the online form on the website. This requires the following information:
