Research on Climate-Smart Technology to Reduce Women’s Burden in Nepal’s objective is to generate relevant evidence from South experience on climate-smart technologies to reduce women’s time poverty and work drudgery.
Eligibility
- Proven technical competencies in climate change and intersectional feminist approaches to advance gender equality
- Strong understanding of the social, gender, and regional context of Nepal, India, and China
- Competence in analytical assessment of data/issues in relevant areas and ability to handle primary and secondary sources, methodological tools, and problems in social science
- Proven record of designing, leading, and conducting field-based research on gender and social issues, climate change impacts, and adaptation in Nepal and/or the neighboring countries with similar climate and geographical context, with publications on these
- Record of publications on social issues, climate change, DRR, and related topics
- Expertise in technical knowledge of related technologies and analyses of these
- Established networks and good working relations with government agencies, research institutes, NGOs, community-based organizations, and civil society organizations
- Good networks and working experience with women’s organizations is highly desirable

- The Climate-Smart Tech Program will provide funding up to USD 27,157.

UK PACT Forest Sector Program 2023
The UK PACT Forest Sector Program 2023 aims to bolster the management of indigenous lands in terms of both territory and the environment. The UK PACT Forest Sector Program 2023 is focused on providing technical guidance and enhancing the capabilities of the National Foundation for Indigenous Peoples.
Eligibility
- Only non-profit organisation can apply as lead organisation.
- For-profit organisations can participate in the call for proposals as partners within a consortium.
- Government agencies and/or departments are not eligible to apply either as a lead organisation or partner in a consortium.
- All consortia must have at least one local partner. The local organisation does not need to be the consortium lead. A local partner is an organization operating in Brazil under a National Register of Legal Entities (Cadastro Nacional de Pessoa Jurídica – CNPJ).
Benefits
- UK PACT will support one project with a grant valued at no more than £500,000 per financial year up to a maximum of £1,000,000 over two years.

Call for Conflict Prevention Initiatives
Call for Conflict Prevention Initiatives call aims to address the escalating conflicts and promote peacebuilding and rule of law, efforts in North-West Nigeria. Conflict Prevention Initiatives also support innovative and creative projects that contribute to sustainable peace and stability in the region, addressing the root causes of conflict and promoting societal inclusion and cohesion.
Eligibility
To be eligible for Call for Conflict Prevention Initiatives applicants must be:
- Non-governmental organizations (NGOs),
- Community-based organizations (CBOs), and
- Civil society organizations (CSOs) are eligible to apply.
- The organization should have a unique insight and be well-positioned for the implementation of projects in conflict-affected areas and possess relevant experience in peacebuilding, conflict prevention, and Rule of Law.
- Partnership with local organizations, community leaders, and other relevant stakeholders is strongly encouraged.
- The proposed project should align with the objectives of this call and demonstrate a clear strategy, methodology, and expected outcomes.

Benefits
- Applying organizations may request for grants within the range of $30,000.00 to $150,000.00.
- The proposed projects should have a duration of 6 – 12 months.
Application Process
- To join, groups need to send in their plans in English, using the special form, and give all the information they’re asked for, like showing they’re a real group.
- The plans must show how they fit with what we want to do.
- Plans should have a clear plan, how they will do it, and what they hope will happen.
- The plans must say how much money they need, with details like how much goes to people, workshops, office stuff, and anything else they need.
- They also need to say how they will check if things are going well and what good things happen because of their plans.
- The email title should be “Conflict Prevention Plan – [Group Name].”

Commonwealth Foundation Grant 2023
Commonwealth Foundation Grant 2023 supports projects that seek to facilitate constructive engagement between civil society and decision-makers, in policy and decision-making. Every year, the grant offers up to £30,000 for projects lasting up to two years to civil society organisations in the Commonwealth. They support projects that seek to facilitate constructive engagement between civil society and decision-makers, including civil society participation in policy development and decision-making.
Eligibility
A not-for-profit civil society organization registered in an eligible Commonwealth Foundation member country must fulfill the following criteria:
- Newly registered organizations cannot apply.
- The organization must implement the proposed project in the country of registration. In multi-country projects, the organization must ensure strong local participation in project implementation.
- The applicant organization must possess a minimum of two years of demonstrable experience in working on participatory governance and advocacy within the area/theme(s) of the proposed project.
- The applicant organization’s total annual income averaged over the past two years, should not exceed 70% of the requested grant amount.
- The applicant organization’s annual income averaged over the past two years, must be less than £2.5m.
- The project proposal must address at least one of the Foundation’s priority themes.
Eligible Country’s civil society organizations are from Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe and some are also from the Pacific. Please note that If your organization is registered in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand cannot apply for a grant as a lead applicant but you can participate in a project as partners, so long as the lead applicant is from another eligible country.

Note: If your organization is registered in a country that has an asterisk (*) next to it in the list, you are ineligible to apply for a grant as a lead applicant.

Climate Resilience Fund for Non-profit Organizations & Social Enterprises provides financial support to innovative projects that address pressing global challenges.
Eligibility
- Any type of organization may apply. This includes social enterprises, for-profit companies, non-profit organizations, government agencies, international organizations, and research institutions in any country. It is recommended that individual innovators, entrepreneurs, or researchers apply through an affiliated organization.
Benefits
The Global Innovation Fund provides:
- Pilot (up to $230,000)
- Stage of development: Pilot innovations are at an early stage but you have a credible plan for how it can be developed and tested in a real-world setting.
- Test & Transition (up to $2.3m)
- Stage of development: For test and transition investment your innovation has already shown promise of success at a small scale, and you have some information on your operational, social, and financial viability which you want to solidify before you scale.
- Scale (up to $15m)
- Stage of development: For scale investment, your innovation should have a clear evidence base and a credible plan for scaling to reach millions of people which is logistically, politically, and financially feasible.

Reece Foundation Grant 2023 supports projects that help communities that need it most, both internationally and locally. The Reece Foundation Grant initiative supports individuals and organizations passionate about social change by providing grants.
Eligibility
The Reece Foundation accepts Grant applications that meet the following guidelines:
- The application is submitted by a registered charity or not-for-profit organization.
- Identifies a need for access to clean water, sanitation, or water for agricultural & food security purposes.
- Clearly articulates the potential impact on the community.
- Outlines how the organization has consulted with and involved the community in the proposed project development.
- Includes the trade skills required for the project in addressing the need identified by the community.
- If you’re applying on behalf of a not-for-profit organization; have permission to apply from the charity you are seeking to support, and provide evidence of permission as an attachment in the application.
Benefits
- The funding request is between $5,000 and $30,000.
