Rapid Ocean Conservation Grants Program

The Rapid Ocean Conservation Grants Program (ROC) provides small grants with a quick turnaround time for solutions to emerging conservation issues.

Eligibility

  • The Rapid Ocean Conservation Grants Program must focus on assisting fishermen and safeguarding the ocean. Using the money for event sponsorships is not allowed.
  • Applicants for the grant should have a strong understanding of the project they’re proposing.
  • The applicant should have an affiliation with a school or nonprofit organization while carrying out the project.
  • The grant funds must be the primary or sole source of funding for the project. They cannot be used as additional funding for larger projects.

Additionally:

  • If you are affiliated with a nonprofit public charity (or its equivalent in your country of residence), you are eligible to apply for funding.
  • Emergency funding is not available through the ROC Grants program.
  • The ROC Grants program exclusively awards grants to applicants with public charity status.
  • Grants are not provided to support thesis projects.
  • You can resubmit an application for funding at any time, even if your project was previously declined.
  • The program does not provide funding for projects that have already received approval and does not offer ongoing funding for any projects.
