UN Trust Fund for Human Security
The UN Trust Fund for Human Security supports initiatives that promote human security and address the most pressing global challenges. By funding innovative projects and partnerships, this grant empowers communities and organizations to enhance resilience, foster peace, and protect human rights. It plays a crucial role in advancing the UN’s mission to create a safer, more equitable world for all.
Eligibility
The UN Trust invites organizations to meet these criteria when applying for the UN Trust Fund for Human Security:
- Increasing outreach at international forums that are not government-related
- Strengthening cooperation with regional organizations.
- Collaborating effectively with civil society and non-governmental actors
- When planning programs to raise global awareness of the human security approach, make sure to involve the Human Security Unit (HSU) directly.
- Your programs should aim to empower partner entities to develop and implement human security policies, programs, and activities.
- These initiatives should result in tangible benefits for vulnerable individuals and communities, such as improving their survival, livelihood, and dignity.

Benefits
- These integrated programs have a maximum contribution of $300,000 from the UNTFHS and are typically 18–24 months
