For example, thousands of NGOs have the goal of protecting the environment, but use diverse methods to do so including: raising awareness of this issue within the community, developing more energy-efficient technologies, researching man-made harms to ecosystems, lobbying the government to create better laws, using the courts to sue polluters, etc.
Project strategies can include:
- Capacity-building/ awareness raising
- Organizational development
- Research and development
- Advocacy
- Victim support
- Microfinance development
- Participatory infrastructure development
These are all different strategies which inform your activities to reach the project goal.
