Opening and closing date

The proposalsforNGOs Small Grant Opportunity begins on 6 January 2020, 9:00 AM GMT and ends 6 April 2020, 23:59 GMT.

Participation Eligibility

Participation is open to any person in any country unless prohibited by local or United States law. Participants need to be 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Participants must have an email address to participate. Employees of proposalsforNGOs (“Sponsor”), and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, agencies are not eligible to participate.  proposalsforNGOs can exclude any participant for any or no reason at its own discretion.

Contest Eligibility

Participants will be asked to submit a proposal of a nominated NGO or Network as the potential recipient of the Prize. Only registered NGOs and active Networks are eligible to receive the prize with the exception of NGOs active in countries where it is not possible to legally register. The prize winner must be legally able to receive the USD 500 prize.  NGOs and Networks need to be able to submit proof of registration (or similar) before the prize can be awarded. Such proof can include official registration documents, certificates of registration, minutes of meetings, website, list of members, etc. proposalsforNGOs can exclude any NGO or Network from the contest for any or no reason at its own discretion.

 

Entry

During the contest period, you can submit a proposal by filling out the official registration form.  Participants are required to request authorization of their NGO nominee before submitting a proposal and completing registration.  No mechanically produced submissions are permitted. Incomplete submission/entries are void. proposalsforNGOs is not responsible for lost, late, or submissions not received regardless of the cause. In the event of a dispute, entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used for registration.

Proposal Requirements

The proposal submitted must be created within the past five (5) years. Proposal submitted to other donors, grants or funding resources can be submitted. The proposal length can be any – but is recommended to range from 1 to 15 pages. Each proposal can only be submitted once, but representatives may submit more than one original proposal per NGO/Network. All submissions must be submitted using the submission form in MS Word or PDF format.

Winner Selection

The potential winning NGO or Network will be selected by a proposalsforNGOs’ jury on 6 May 2020 of all proposals submitted by 6 April 2020 (23:59 GMT). 

The Prize

There will be One (1) winner. The winning NGO or Network (the official producer of the proposal) will receive USD 500 paid through PayPal, Western Union, Bank Transfer or other legal, eligible methods. Payment will be effected after the eligibility criteria of the nominated NGO or Network have been satisfied.

The prize is awarded “as is”, and any taxes, or any other costs, fees, bank charges, or expenses are the sole responsibility of the prize recipient. If by reason of error, more prizes are claimed than the One prize available, a jury will review submission to award the one prize. Under no circumstances will more than one prize be awarded.

Notifications

The winner will be notified by email to the address provided at registration. The Winner must claim the prize by responding to the notification email within 5 days of notification. proposalsforNGOs reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value if it deems this necessary. If the potential winner fails to timely claim the prize, is deemed ineligible, or if the prize notification email is returned as undeliverable, the prize is considered forfeited. In such cases, an alternate winner will be selected by the jury.

Announcement of Winner

The Winner will be announced on our official Facebook Page: proposalsforngos and the name of the winner and his/her nominated NGO or Network will be made available on proposalsforNGOs.com on or after 6 May 2020.

Prize Acceptance

Acceptance of the prize requires the winning NGO or network to agree and abide by all rules and regulations outlined within.  

Publicity, Marketing

Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission to proposalsforNGOs to use the winner’s name, writing, logo, and image for purposes of marketing, in any medium, without further compensation or notice.

Use of Submitted Proposals

Any person submitting a proposal authorizes proposalsforNGOs to reproduce the proposal on its website and/or add it to its database. A select number of proposals will be published on the proposalsforNGOs.com website as “best practices” for the benefit of all proposalsforNGOs.com users. proposalsforNGOs may use submitted proposals for other purposes in both online and offline settings at its own discretion.

Information collecting during the contest

Participation requires registration of an email address, city, country, and the nomination of an eligible NGO or Network. Email addresses will be added as subscribers to proposalsforNGOs.com and receive other proposalsforNGOs.com newsletter and announcements unless you “opt-out”. Information collected will be used to determine the identity and eligibility of participants and their submissions. Information collected will not be shared or sold with any other parties. By submitting your contact information for this prize you provide permission to proposalsforNGOs.com to contact you about the contest.

Liability

proposalsforNGOs and its affiliates are not responsible for any and all failures of any kind related to this contest (whether caused by a computer or human error). Participants releaseproposalsforNGOs from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever arising in connection with this Prize including.

Other Terms

Decisions of proposalsforNGOs on all matters related to this prize are final. Any legal disputes arising under this prize are subject to the laws of the State of New York, USA and exclusive jurisdiction and venue shall be in the state or federal courts located in New York, NY, USA. proposalsforNGOs reserves the right to cancel or modify the contest, Prize or its terms for any reason, including but not limited to, fraud, misconduct or technical failures. proposalsforNGOs reserves the right to disqualify or prohibit the participation of any individual, NGO, network or other entity.
