The Child Health Foundation calls for applications for their small grant program. The foundation will fund projects that work with infants in the first month of their life to improve their health. The maximum amount organizations can apply for is USD 5000 and the deadline for this opportunity is May 31st 2019.
The Child Health Foundation Small Grant Program is open for organizations that work in developing countries or in the USA. Organizations must be certified and registered and be able to produce the related papers of proof.
The Child Health Small Grant Program wants to fund projects that have an innovative approach towards the improvement of the health situation of babies in their first month. Projects should work with biomedical and social technologies. The project must be implemented within a year and have measurable results. In the past, the foundation has concentrated on the treatment of diarrhea. This year the focus of the grant program is on the babies first month.
Funds cannot be used for international travel, computers, secretarial support, or overhead cost.
To apply to the Child Health Foundation Small Grant Program, you have to send your application via email to the address given on the homepage of the foundation. The application should consist of a cover letter, a project narrative and a budget. The foundation has very specific guidelines for the word count, so make sure that you do adhere to them.
In the project narrative, organizations have to submit a problem statement, their specific aim, background, their innovative approach, their outreach strategy and a statement about a possible mentorship. References about the organization might be requested
Approaches that will be funded need to be innovative and specifically geared towards the babies first month of life. If you project has a broader approach, it does not make sense to apply.
